work-in-progress performative installation that aimed to create an immersive experience where the visitor of the installation became the main character of the piece.

Three small separate but circular spaces were built in the cellar hall of Kanuti Guild Hall.

The first of which consisted of two walls with countless cut-outs. The holes were covered with magnifying glasses behind which were the eyes of dolls, cameras, photos and live performers, who were all staring at the person that entered the space.

The second room contained a number of screens which were showing live footage of different cameras hidden inside the installation (street, waiting hall, behind the wall of eyes etc). some of the screens had an opportunity to rewind them through a touch pad.

The last room was on the opposite side of the wall covered with holes for eyes. Now the audience member was in power and could stare the performers, who were peeking through the cut-outs, from behind. They also had an opportunity to peek at the next visitors through a pair of ‘eyes’.

Through this, we were seeking ways to destabilise power structures between the observer and the observant / audience and the performer.
